Jurys Inn Bee Hotel
The bee is a symbol of Manchester – in the 1800’s the city’s textile mills were coined as being a “hive of activity,” the workers “busy bees” and the idea of the hardworking bee has continued to symbolise the ever-growing city. There are no less than seven bees on the Manchester coat of arms. Bees can be found everywhere across the city – from dustbins to clock faces.
As part of the Jurys Inn £2.9m refurbishment, we were only too happy to design and build them a Bee Hotel to provide some shelter for their tiny guests.
