INTRODUCING ASC: ANOMALOUS SOCIAL CLUB
Anomalous Social Club (ASC) is our initiative to encourage connectivity and discourse.
Each month this open platform challenges conventional spaces of collective gathering. We’re not a pub, we’re not a night club and we’re not someone’s house, but we aim to provide a home away from home for work, rest and play.
How does it work?
ASC will run twice a month as an informal gathering (beginning of the month), and formal collaboration (towards the end of the month).
Our Tuesday socials are for informal chat, networking and project development or simply hanging out with music, video games and film screenings. There is no pressure to bring anything, just turn up and get involved or find a comfy seat with a cup of tea and listen to others.
The second social is a collaborative event bringing together like-minded collectives, practitioners and friends with content often shaped from conversations started at our informal sessions.
These ticketed events focus on shared knowledge and diverse thinking to build a supportive community through three key categories:
CARE
Encompasses all things wellbeing, yoga, meditation, sound baths, gong baths, breath-work and relaxation to build mental/physical/spiritual resilience.
CULTURE
Provides a space for creatives to showcase their work, gain feedback or try out fresh material. Think screenings, script-reads and live music, theatre and comedy performances.
CONVERSATION
Explores challenging topics we feel passionate about, providing a platform for debate and discussion through talks, lectures, workshops and divergent thinking.
