WHAT IS ANOMALOUS SOCIAL CLUB?

Anomalous Social Club (ASC) is a network of residents, individuals, and communities connected by our shared values of Care, Culture, and Conversation.

Through ASC, members gain access to residencies and heavily subsidised spaces across our venues — from The Home to The Studio — creating opportunities to grow their communities, develop ideas, and bring people together.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Anyone leading a creative, cultural or community-focused initiative is welcome to apply. We encourage applications from individuals, collectives, charities, social enterprises and grassroots organisations, particularly those supporting underrepresented communities.

    • A residency of up to six months.

    • Heavily subsidised space to host workshops, talks, performances, exhibitions, screenings or community events.

  • Residencies run for up to six months, with the possibility of extension depending on your project and availability.

  • We're looking for projects that align with our values of Care, Culture and Conversation. This could include creative practice, education, wellbeing, community building, cultural programming, research, performances or socially engaged work.

  • ASC offers heavily subsidised access to our spaces. Costs vary depending on the type of residency or event and the support required. We'll discuss the most suitable option with successful applicants.

  • Yes. Residents can use the space to host workshops, talks, exhibitions, performances, screenings and community gatherings.

  • We'll review your application and get in touch if we think ASC is the right fit. We may invite you for an informal conversation before confirming a residency or event opportunity.

  • We ask all residents to help promote their events, showcase our space on social media, and share key event details with us so we can support your promotion through our channels. Please be respectful of our space and community, and remain open to potential media and marketing opportunities that can help amplify your event and our shared work.

  • Applications are open throughout the year. We'll review submissions on a rolling basis and contact applicants as opportunities become available.
